Florida Grade 5 Foundations of Computer Science

Students learn about algorithms and coding concepts, along with gaining an understanding of computer science topics through micro:bit activities

Course Summary

Students will develop their robot programming skills using block coding with the micro:bit. Students will build on their skills and learn to program various sensors, including temperature, light, touch, and sounds. They will also show LED displays and create loops to control the micro:bit. A physical micro:bit can be used but is not necessary to have, as a simulated version is embedded in lessons.
