Students learn foundational computer programming and HTML lessons which are integrated with fourth grade math , ELA and science standards.

Course Outline

    1. HTML Basics and the Structures of Living Organisms Learn the basics of HTML as we also study plant and animal structures.
    2. Headers and Rock Formations Learn about headers to show order and style on your website as we also learn about rock formations.
    3. Text Color and Waves Looking to spruce up your website with some color? This lesson focuses on how you can change the color of your text while also learning about waves!
    4. Paragraphs and Natural Resources Paragraph tags are one of the most common tags that you will use in HTML. Follow this lesson closely and practice as we simultaneously learn about natural resources.
    5. Images and Reducing the Impact of Earth's Processes Another very useful and common element on a website is the image tag. You will learn how to use them in this lesson. As we learn about image tags we will also be diving into Earth's processes and learning how we can help reduce their impact on humans!
    6. Science Report Welcome to your class Science Report! Create a website about an animal. The requirements for your website are listed in the challenge section!

    2. Variables in Programming and Math Today we are going to learn how variables work in both programming and math!
    3. Conditionals in Programming and Math IF this THEN that. Learn how conditionals are used in coding and math.
    4. HTML and Word Problems Learn what HTML is and dive into some real-world math problems.
    5. Images and Geometry Learn how to add images to a website and more about geometry!
