Course Summary

JavaScript 2 helps students build confidence working with arrays and loops to manage and process data. Through hands-on lessons, they’ll learn to manipulate arrays, use different types of loops, and combine these concepts in practical coding tasks. This course prepares students to write more efficient and dynamic programs.

Course Outline

    1. Accessing Elements in Arrays Arrays are great for storing data but accessing that data is vital. Let's take a look at how this is done.
    2. Project: Grocery List Create a grocery list.
    3. Array Length Don't know how many items are in an array? Use array length! Let's check it out.
    4. Project: Build a Bank Build a bank using JavaScript objects
    5. Adding to Arrays We've already covered some material on arrays but this lesson covers how to add elements to an existing array.
    6. Project: Probability Guesser Find out the odds to help you win games!
    7. Removing From Arrays Last lesson we discussed adding items to arrays. In this one we will cover how to remove items from arrays.
    8. Inserting Into Arrays Similarly to adding to an array, we can add items into the middle of an array instead of just at the end. Let's take a look at this functionality.
    9. Changing Elements in Arrays This lesson covers how to change or update an existing item in an array.
    10. Output Arrays Being able to view the contents of an array seems like an important ability in programming. Let's get it done!
    11. Arrays Checkpoint This is the arrays checkpoint! Remember the past lessons and you'll do great!
    12. For Loops Continued For loops can be complex! Let's continue learning about them.
    13. While Loops Similar to For loops, while loops are a powerful and useful feature of Javascript. This lesson will cover the basics.
    14. Nested Loops Nested loops allow us to combine multiple loops together which gives a lot of power. Let's explore what this means.
    15. Loops Checkpoint This is the Loops checkpoint. Good luck!
    16. Arrays and Loops Looping through the items of an array will allow us to update each item individually. Let's see how this is accomplished.
